Which BV-area Legislators vote AGAINST BV Schools?

Updated: Sep 19

This article was originally posted 9/10/2024 on SUBV Facebook page

State Senator Kellie Warren & KS Reps Carl Turner, Chris Croft, and Sean Tarwater routinely vote against the award-winning schools our kids attend, even though schools are the #1 reason people move to Blue Valley!

By voting against education funding, voting for Brownback-like tax cuts that would gut public education and tank our economy, and voting to divert money from local public schools to exclusive private schools, Warren, Turner, Croft and Tarwater often vote against our community's interests. They even tried to make it harder for Blue Valley residents to vote! (See links at bottom for related posts.)

It’s time to elect better legislators this year.

Don't go to the polls without our Voting Guide. https://www.standupbluevalley.org/

If a candidate isn't listed, they haven't earned our endorsement. If a legislator claims they support our kids’ BV Schools, or work to “find common ground” in Topeka, do NOT take their word for it. Sometimes a legislator will vote one way during an election year, but vote for an extreme, partisan agenda the rest of the time.

Since 2015, SUBV volunteers have been watching our elected officials’ actions and tracking their votes. For in-depth information about issues and candidates, review our Facebook page or read our blog at https://www.standupbluevalley.org/blog
